How did Lockwood Designs get started? Who are your typical clients and what is your business philosophy?
As an educator for Kern County the last 15 years, my husband (an artist) and I decided he would stay home and raise our twin boys, Connor and Cameron (age 4). He has done a magnificent job and I commend him for all his dedication. With the infant years behind us, we were able to devote more time to our passionate hobbies of creating and designing products. We have had our laser engraver for the last 5 years and have mastered some great techniques and products. We have added vinyl cutting and heat transfer equipment to broaden our business to offer more variety in the products we carry.
We work closely with many of the local schools, businesses and religious sectors. We also provide nationwide industrial tag marking to valve manufacturers. We take all personal orders for engraved gifts. We are growing quickly and are proud to serve our community.
What types of products do you offer?
Lockwood Designs offers a wide range of products; Photographs on Wood, Photo Awards, Tile, Bottles, Dog Tags, Glass, and Stainless Steel. We customize and personalize all promotional items for businesses and fundraising. We engrave items for special events such as weddings, reunions and birthday parties. We also provide all Vinyl imprinting to make decals, signs, banners and wall art. We design and make t-shirts using vinyl, inkjet heat transfer and our latest addition of rhinestone designs.

As a vendor for the Kern High School District, many of our clients come from local high schools such as Frontier, Bakersfield High, Golden Valley, North High and Highland. We continue to provide these schools with fundraising items, t-shirts, photo plaque awards and teacher appreciation gifts throughout each school year. We have donated and provided promotional items for religious sectors such as Valley Bible, Jesuscentric, Johovah’s Witness, and Assembly of God. We serve businesses such as DS Nutrition, Bryant Fuel Systems, Aces, GWC International, Bakersfield Police Department, Bakersfield Fire Department, Taft College, Spa Divas and many more. Many Bakersfield residents use our services to provide loved ones with memorable gifts customized to their liking.
